Red Umbrella

posted in City/Urban, People, Sold |

Image - Red Umbrella

Title: “Red Umbrella”
Medium: Oil
Dimensions: 5″x7″
This was one of those cold windy days outside, when I saw this woman briskly moving to her intended location - no doubt it was a warm and dry. I love the way an umbrella will catch the light and bounce it all around the inside - lighting up a face and hair with brilliant and sometimes unusual colors. This painting is very expressive, with bold moving strokes in the background. There was a huge tree to the right of her with some very interesting bark, rich with browns and grays.

This painting is sold.
