Title: “Preparing for Beethoven’s 6th”
Medium: Oil
Dimensions: 5″x7″
We recently went to see Beethoven’s 6th at the Charlotte Symphony. Before the show began there were several performers tuning their instruments, saying hello to each other and practicing their parts. I liked these three woman together as they were similar in many ways: They all played the violin, were dressed in dark colors with black pumps on.

Title: “Bananas Foster”
Medium: Oil
Dimensions: 6″x6″
We were out at a restaurant and a nearby table ordered Bananas Foster for desert. This is such a wonderful show to watch. They had bowls of butter and sugar and gravy boats with liquor. The dining room was actually a tavern with very dark walnut colored wood paneling. The flames put off a fantastic blue and yellow light that you could see from across the darkened dining room.
