I know I’ve been neglecting my blog for other things. I spent most of January preparing to teach a workshop in Photoshop Elements to fellow artists. The workshop was this past Saturday and it went very well. All the participants indicated they would be a reference for future students. That’s a plus!

Now back to painting and other creative endeavors. This little painting is an egg tempera painting. I make my own paints with a fresh egg yolk and pure pigments. I painted for a number of years with this medium, but it’s very time consuming and most artists today quit using it out of frustration. Although I’ve veered over to oils and other mediums, I will continue to use egg tempera as well.

More about egg tempera and it’s history in future posts.
